Battery Pack and Range Hyundai’s Kona Electric is available with a 39.2 kWh battery pack. The company claims a driving range of 452 km as per ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India). Battery Pack and Range The BYD E6 has a 71.7-kWh battery pack. It is one of the biggest batteries. It claims a driving range of 520 km.  
Power and Torque: Hyundai’s Kona Electric produces a maximum power of 134.10 bhp and a maximum torque of 395 Nm.Power and Torque: The BYD E6 generates a maximum power of 93.87 bhp. The suspension set-up is also good.  
Dimension: Hyundai’s Kona Electric’s length is 4180 mm, its width is 1800 mm, and its height is 1570 mm. This EV works on a 2600-mm wheel base. Its boot space has a capacity of 332 litres.Dimension: The length of the BYD E6 is 4695 mm, the width is 1810 mm, the height is 1670 mm, and the wheel base is 2800 mm, which is lengthy enough. It has a huge 580-litres boot space.
Charging time: With a 2.8 kW AC charger, it takes 19 hours to charge 0 to 100 percent of the battery, and with a 7.2 kW AC charger, it takes 6 hours and 10 minutes to fully charge the battery. It gives the option of a DC fast charger too, and a 0-80 percent battery takes 57 minutes to charge with a 50-kW charger. The time may vary if you use a different kW charger. Charging Time: With a 6.6 kW AC charger, it takes 12 hours to fully charge the battery, and a 40 kW AC charger (wall box) takes 120 minutes to charge a battery of 0-100 percent. If you use a 60 kW DC charger, the full battery is charged` in 90 minutes.  
Interior and Exterior: Its interior is all black, and its leather-feeling seats are of decent quality. The steering has tilt and telescopic adjustment. It has cruise control and instrumental cluster control. It offers four driving modes: eco, eco plus, comfort, and sport.   At the front seat, two cupholders with one armrest and an automatic AC unit are given. Wireless charging, USB ports, and AUX are also provided. A vanity mirror with illumination is given on the driver and co-driver sides. The goggles holder and electric sunroof control are given at the centre. The charging options of AC and DC are given at the front of the car, and there is an indicator that shows the charging of the battery. At the rear seat, in the centre, there is an adjustable headrest and one arm rest. The exterior of the car includes LED projector head lamps, DRL, roof rails, a powered driver seat, and cooled and heated front seats. At the chin guard, blank Fennis is given to circulate the air. Blue driving badging is given on both sides of the car. ORVMs are electric, adjustable, and foldable. It offers a disc brake. At the top, there is a regular antenna, rear wiper, defogger, LED tail light, and reverse parking sensors.   Kona Electric is in an SUV format that has a seating capacity of five people. It has 7-inch alloy wheels with a 215/55 tyre profile.  Interior and Exterior:. The interior of the BYD E6 is very clean and uncluttered. Its dashboard does not have a single button. The large glossy panel on the dashboard is quite attractive. It has automatic climate control, regen modes, a reverse camera with sensors, an eco-mode, an analog dial, two cup holders, etc. There is a space to keep your mobile phone and get it charged, but it does not offer wireless charging. No armrest is provided at the rear seat, and a single AC vent is provided at the rear. The front seats do not have pockets on the rear side to keep things, but a bottle holder is there. Its leather-wrapped steering has a cruise control button.   The front of the car is bold and has large halogen headlamps and LED DRL with closed grills that give it a modern look. Its front is shouty, and the dual-tone scheme in blue and black is a nice touch to the car. Its 17-inch wheels with 215/55 tyres have a good amount of tyre-wall to move on the road.
Safety Features: It offers six airbags, traction control parking cameras, vehicle stability control, electronic stability control, virtual sound for pedestrian safety, ABS brakes with EBD, hill launch assist, etc. A 5-star safety rating is given to this car in Euro NCAP.      Safety Features: The car is equipped with 4 airbags, ABS with ESC, hill start assist, rear seat belt reminders, a tyre pressure monitor, and a virtual sound for pedestrian safety.  
Comfort and Convenience: It offers an adjustable driver’s seat, a paddle-controlled brake energy regeneration system, etc. Driving with the Kona Electric is smooth, comfortable, noiseless, and easy to understand.      Comfort and Convenience: The lengthy wheelbase of the BYD E6 shows that the car is spacious enough. Its seats are very soft and comfortable, with a premium touch. Although seats cannot be reclined or cannot go forward and backward, but headroom and legroom space are good enough.
Entertainment: It offers a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that includes the connectivity of Android Auto and an Apple Car Display. The car includes 2 twitters and 4 speakers.  Entertainment: It has a 10.1-inch rotatable touchscreen with all the functionality packed into it. It is Android-based, so you can download various apps like Google Maps, etc. It has a 12.3-cm multi-information display screen.    
Price: The price of the Kona Electric starts at Rs. 23.84 lakh to Rs. 24.03 lakh (ex-showroom), and it is available in two variants: the base model and the top model. On the car, the company provides a 3-year unlimited-kilometer running warranty, and on the battery pack, it offers an 8-year/1.60 lakh-kilometer warranty.  Price: The BYD E6 is available for Rs. 29.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The company offers an 8-year/ 5,00,000 km battery warranty, which is much higher than the other luxury EVs.  

Conclusion

The BYD E6 has a nice roomy cabin, huge boot space for your luggage and cargo, and a 500 km range on a single charge, which is good enough, but the price is rather steep. And if money does not bother you and you want to use the advanced features, you can go for the BYD E6. Kona Electric is also not cheap, but you need to spend about 6 lakh rupees less for it than the BYD E6.
