The company has officially showcased its intention to launch its first ever electric car, the Maruti-e Vitara. Its launching timeline in the Indian market is expected by March 2025. The first anticipated electric car is supposed to be available between Rs. 20 lakh and Rs. 30 lakh.

Tata Curvv EV is expected to have its strongest rival. Both electric SUVs are available in two battery options. Additionally, the MG ZS EV, BYD Atto 3, two new EVs of Mahindra XEV 9e, and the BE 6e are in competition with the Vitara. Till the Maruti-e Vitara is launched, the Creta EV of Hyundai would also enter in this competition.
